Responsibilities

Utilize Access data base to assemble forecasting reports for sales team. Interacts with sales team - accumulating the forecasts, assembling, checking and loading to SAP. Measure forecast against actual sales and identifies / communicates exceptions. Maintains Inventory Control processes including analyzing inventory levels at the customer level and CASA shipping locations.

  • Maintains Inventory control process including analyzing inventory levels at the customer level and CASA shipping locations.
  • Creates and downloads data from BI for forecasting reports.
  • Works with Sales Analyst to maintain appropriate forecasting groups.
  • Creates and sends out Excel forecast reports and works with sales team for modifications.
  • Aggregates returned forecasts and creates files needed to load forecast into SAP.
  • Generates and reviews monthly forecast comparison report to look for trends, issues, discrepancies and interacts with sales teams for explanations and changes.
  • Uploads forecast into SAP.
  • Works with Finance and SAP team to match up to price lists to create customer forecasts for BI.
  • Reviews issues and email requests regarding the forecast, works with Sales to adjust as necessary and makes appropriate changes in SAP as needed.
  • Reviews MRP prompts on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to adjust forecast as necessary.
  • Reviews Short Ship Reports, Critical Item Lists, and Ops Meeting notes for forecast issues.
  • Maintain SAP Planning Hierarchy for new and discontinued materials, as well as inputs marketing forecast for these items.
  • Reviews PRF’s to ensure promotions are incorporated into the forecast.
  • Assists Manager of Forecasting with other processes as needed.
  • Makes suggestions for improvements and works with Manager of Forecasting to implement changes.
  • Train others on BI, SAP, Access, and Excel as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Relationships and Scope:
Works Closely with: Sales team, including Director of sales, marketing, purchasing, finance and corporate SAP team, EGV operations.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed largely in an office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week. There will be some variation in work hours due to employee shift schedules, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.

Experience

  • Four year degree or equivalent experience (in Mfg/Operations planning, inventory control or demand planning).
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Access
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge in Excel is required (Pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.)
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated data and business analytical skills
  • Experienced in working with large data sets
  • Ability to prioritize workload and execute timelines
  • Open minded and collaborative on approaches to problem solving and open to learning
  • Can work independently, but checks in and shares openly
  • Continuous learning and progress to keep abreast of new techniques and tools.
