Budgie Parakeet

Budgie Parakeet
Budgie Parakeet
Budgies are curious and affectionate when hand-fed as babies and handled often. Budgies are highly recommended for first-time bird owners. They will interact with the whole family and are excellent whistlers and sometimes mimic speech.

In the wild, Budgerigar Parakeets are widely distributed throughout the interior of Australia, foraging on the ground for grasses. Budgies are naturally green and yellow but have been bred to produce other colors in captivity.
