Best Thing Since Sliced Bread Petsmart got me started on this with all my parrots, and my avian veterinarian agrees this is the best diet since seed diets are high in fat and shorten the life span of parrots, even parakeets. It's also no problem for my dogs who clean up whatever the birds throw down. It's funny watching my birds, as they go through their "cycles" of which color is their favorite color out of the pellets! My husband will think they have plenty in their dish and when I take a look and say, "No, it's all red and yellow. Those aren't his favorites this week and it's what he left behind. He need a fresh bowl." Someone on Facebook also told me what her birds throw down she puts outside for the squirrels and it's helped her to recycle the food and the squirrels love it. I'm having trouble finding the large bags where I live (they're more economical) so I'm on an Internet search to find where I can locate Kaytee. I will use nothing less than the best! June 16, 2012
All of our Sanctuary and Rescue parrots love Exact After many years of using another fruit blend pellet product, The Lily Sanctuary started using Kaytee Exact for medium and large parrots a year ago. Although the products are similar, our birds seem to like the Kaytee Exact better, and especially the fact that the pellet mix contains a variety of sizes up to some large sizes. This gives our birds a wide range of choices and helps promote more interest in their eating pellets. March 12, 2012
