Watching the bird show Once I bought my first bag, I was hooked. I want to get more feeders because a line always forms for this one, but I couldn't afford to keep them all full! I agree with other reviewers that this needs to be available in a much larger bag. I live in the city, but just today, I have seen goldfinches, house finches, titmice, hairy woodpeckers, chickadees, pine siskins, cardinals, and mourning doves. In the past, I have also gotten downy woodpeckers, several types of wrens, and sparrows- song sparrows, grasshopper sparrows, and the wonderful Eastern towhee. I always recommend this food to friends with feeders because it attracts such a wide variety of birds and house sparrows don't seem to like it, so they don't hang around terrorizing everyone else. This is the best seed blend I've tried yet. Attracts many different songbirds. Moderated waste, It's done well enough to be a staple blend on my feeders. Currently in 2 of 8 feeders & going thru 10lbs a week. I would like to see it in a 25lb bag to save a little money, but in my opinion, a fair deal for the money. November 12, 2012
Good variety I've tried the expensive mixes in the pet stores and this is the best. I have bluejays, cardinals, even woodpeckers and squirrels (which I want) . My backyard looks like a commercial with the variety this mix feeds. Great product. It can be a little tricky to find as Target and Petfood Warehouse are always out of it. I'll try PetSmart today. Best for a stunning variety of bird visitors I live near a wooded area and the winters are very hard on the wild birds. This blend brings everybody to the feeder. I have gotten to enjoy so many varieties of wild birds. I even put out a paper plate in front of the door on the deck so the cats can watch the birds from inside the house. I have big feeders so I appreciate the 10 pound size. April 8, 2011
