Many more birds I have counted as many as three dozen Gold Finches on or waiting their turn at the Finch Sock, with a sprinkle of other species like the Rosy Finch mixed in, Towhees pecking at what ends up on the ground. A constant clamour from dawn to late afternoon all year long. January 31, 2012
If You Hang It, They Will Come While we get a lot of birds around our standard feeder filled with sunflower seeds, we hardly ever see gold finches.As Kaytee had one pictured on the packaging, we decided to give it a shot. Within one day of hanging this sock, we had gold finch males and females coming and going all day, too many times to count! It also brings in plenty of other finches and sparrows. Really brings the birds in. We put finch food in a plastic feeder and it took a while for the birds to use it. Plus, we didn't get many. Then we changed to the socks and the birds came from everywhere! We had so many we had to change them out every other day. Finches are great singing birds and they learn NOT to be afraid of you. Now we are all one big family. I recommend this product if you want a large number of singing birds in your yard. February 15, 2011
