Red-wing Blackbird
With red epaulettes blazoning in the morning sunshine, the Red-wing Blackbird's call signals the arrival of spring as they return from Central America.
The blackbird is strongly territorial as it woos females with its song.
The females are rarely seen at feeders, but the reason for this behavior is not known.
