The Northeast part of the U.S. enjoys a variety of winter residents that will visit feeders, such as Northern Cardinals and White-breasted Nuthatches.
However, spring brings a new set of feeder birds like Baltimore Orioles and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.
These new visitors are looking for hardwood or evergreen stands to make their nests in and raise their young. So remember to offer a variety of foods and feeder types for all the possible visitors.
Select a bird in the pulldown menu above and learn about six species found in the Northeast.
